5 Reasons We’re Excited for ZENITH: The Andoma Saga Part 1!

Hello Geeks! It’s Jamari here from ReadGeek and we’re less than 5 days away from the release of ZENITH: The Androma Saga Part 1!  If you don’t know or haven’t heard already, ZENITH is a novel that’s co-written by multi-genre author Lindsay Cummings (who also wrote The Murder Complex Duology) & Sasha Alsberg (Booktuber best known for her outstanding YouTube Channel abookutopia)! And with the release of Zenith fast approaching, we’ve decided to share 5 reasons why we’re PUMPED for the release of ZENITH!

1. The Cover

Yes yes, we know you’re not supposed to judge a book by it’s cover, (but even as we say that we do it all the time) but just from the Zenith cover alone we can already tell we’re about to be pulled in for one exciting and epic space journey adventure! Just take a look for yourself!

2. The Summary

Just from the first two sentences of the reading the summary of Zenith we were immediately drawn in to the story and got a good understanding of what it was all about!

The Summary Reads:

There is darkness

sweeping across the stars.

Most know her as the Bloody Baroness, the captain of a fearsome glass starship called The Marauder. Androma and her crew strike terror in the hearts of those who cross them amongst the many corners of the Mirabel Galaxy.

When a routine mission goes rogue, the all-female crew is captured by a bounty hunter from Andi’s past and forced into a job that could, quite literally, start a war that will devour worlds.

Meanwhile, on the far side of the galaxy, the ruthless ruler Nor waits in the shadows of the planet Xen Ptera, biding her time. The final pieces are about to fall into place, liberating a plan that will tear Mirabel in two.

As the Marauder hurtles toward the unknown, there is one lesson that proves to be true: No one can be trusted in a galaxy that runs on lies and illusion.

3. It’s Part 1 of 4 Parts of a Serialized Novel

I know there’s probably a lot of you out there who don;t know or haven’t heard of what a serialized novel is. A Serialized Novel is basically a novel that is released little by little part by part and in the end will make up one cohesive story. We’ll give you an example. Take Harry Potter for a second and imagine if book 1 was released over a coarse of time chapter sections by chapter sections to the end of the first book in which you’d have one overall novel in the end of all the parts that have been released, thats kind of an understanding of how ZENITH is going to be released.

We’ll be getting Part 1 this coming Tuesday on June 21 and the story will be continued in the coming three other parts until we have one complete novel. It may seem like a long time since we’d have to wait until they finish all the remaining parts, but on the bright side, having the novel released as parts gives us more of a chance to gradually grow with the characters and story over time to time from Part 1 to Part 2 to Part 3 to Part 4 rather than speed reading quickly through one book entirely.

4. It’s Written by Two Kickass Women about Kickass Woman!

The authors, Sasha Alsberg and Lindsay Cummings are both very amazing, powerful and badass young women! We cannot express enough how pumped we are about this story and we can only imagine how badass and awesome the adventures the Bloody Baroness and her all female crew are going to have kicking ass in the galactic!

5. The Sneak Peek from Chapter 1 was PHENOMENAL!

Those who signed up for the ZENITH Newsletter on theandromasaga.com received a very special treat yesterday in their inboxes! In the latest newsletter Sasha and Lindsay sent out, they gave us a special exclusive sneak peek of the first chapter from ZENITH and I’m completely truthful when I tell you that it was nothing less of perfection! The sneak peek instantly had us hooked into the novel and the writing was SO beautiful and well written! Co-author, Sasha Alsberg mentioned on her YouTube Channel and Snapchat previously that ZENITH was written in a way so that it reads like a fantasy novel and in that sneak peek we could 100% agree and understand what she meant!

That was our top 5 reasons to why we’re excited for ZENITH Part 1! What are yours? Do you have some of the same one’s as us? And have you pre-ordered your e-copy of ZENITH yet?!

You can get sucked into the Mirabel Galaxy in ZENITH: The Androma Saga Part 1 on June 21, 2016! Pre-Order your copy now wherever ebooks are sold!

Book Review: Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children By Ransom Riggs

Hey Guys! It’s Jordan from ReadGeekx3 with a new book review! This review is for the first book in the Miss Peregrine’s Peculiar Children series, Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children, written by Ransom Riggs. This will be the first review in our Miss Peregrine’s Review Series, in which we will review both of the books in the Miss Peregrine’s Peculiar Children series leading up to the release of the third and final book, Library of Souls.

Miss Peregrines Cover

Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children follows a 16 year old boy, Jacob Portman, who ventures with his father to a isolated island off the coast of Wales in search of answers after a haunting family tragedy. Once at the island, he discovers the remnants of an abandoned orphanage, said to have once be home to peculiar children, all thought to be now dead. But as Jacob explores, it becomes clearer that he may not have just stumbled upon a new world he once never thought possible, but that he might just be part of it.

This novel tells it’s story both through text and vernacular photography, a choice that enhances the the story and help to maintain the stories sense of gloom and somberness. It is also a choice that I applaud author Ransom Riggs for, as I do imagine that building a story around photographs to create a new experience for the reader would be a particularly hard task. All of the characters are given depth, the narrative is well paced, and the book is just well written all together. The only issue I have with this book is that some of the photos seem out of place, especially at the beginning, but this is still a wonderful, well written YA novel.

This book is really great! It’s mix of photography and text make it a wonderful experience, unlike any book I have read. I give this book 5/5 stars! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I highly recommend this book to everyone, especially to people who love series such as The Secrets of the Immortal Nicholas Flamel.

Our review of the second book, Hollow City, is coming next Monday!

Library of Souls, the third and final book in the Miss Peregrine’s Peculiar Children series, goes on sale on September 22 and is available for preorder now!

Book Review: Disney Descendants: The Junior Novel

Hey guys it’s Jamari here from ReadGeekx3 with another Book review! This is review is for the Junior Novelization of Disney’s Descendants based on the script written by  Josann McGibbon and Sara Parroitt.

This review is going to be more straight to the point so I don’t spoil anything for the upcoming movie since everything that happens in the book happens in the movie (since it’s literally a direct transfer from the movie script)

It picks ups right where the Prequel The Isle Of The Lost left off, Prince Ben, son of Beast and Belle is about to become king and he is first proclamation is to have four children from the Isle of the Lost brought to the kingdom of Auradon to live a normal life. And the four children chosen are Mal, Evie, Jay and Carlos (Maleficent, Evil Queen, Jafar, Cruella). And they are set to attend the boarding school, Auradon Prep and learn how to be good.

The junior novel was very interesting and I can already tell that this is going to be my favorite DCOM of all time! I give the junior novel 10/10 stars⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ and I highly reccomand this book to those who are really excited for Descendants and who can’t wait to know what happens!

Descendants premieres on the Disney Channel on July 31 and you could see it early on Watch Disney and Disney on Demand on July 24!

Book Review: Masterminds by Gordon Korman ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Hey guys it’s Jamari here from ReadGeekx3 here with another book review! Today’s review is for MASTERMINDS  by Gordon Korman.

MASTERMINDS is about a boy named Eli Frieden who lives in a perfect town in Serenity, New Mexico where money problems and crimes are unheard of. One day, while Eli and his friend Randy are riding their bikes past town limits, Eli experiences an unexpected attack when he tries to bike past the limits of the town. Soon after, his best friend Randy moves away and leaves a message for Eli warning him that things in his town aren’t what they seem. As he discovers and analyzes more clues to the mystery of his town, the outcome is completely shocking and is like nothing they have ever known would be linked to their perfect ideal community.

I enjoyed this book a lot. I loved the the plot twist at the end of the story and where the mystery ends up! I thought Gordon did a fantastic job developing the plot and the characters and I cannot wait to read the rest of books in this new series! I give this book ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ stars and I recommend it to readers of all ages!

That’s it for this review! Look out for more posts coming soon!
